Recipe idea: Flavored water with orange & rosemary

A simple, delicious and refreshing companion throughout the day!

Ingredients:

  • ½ Organic Orange
  • 1 sprig of rosemary
  • 1 liter of water

Preparation: Wash the orange in hot water, halve it, and cut it into approximately 1 cm-wide slices. Place it in a jug along with the rosemary sprig and fill it with water. Let it steep in the refrigerator for at least 3–4 hours. Divide the liquid, without the oranges, between glasses – and enjoy!

Why your diet is an important companion on the way to a new life without lipedema

Although nutrition cannot cure lipedema, it plays a crucial role – both before and after lipedema surgery. Choosing the right foods can have far more impact than many people realize: It supports the entire healing process and can sustainably relieve symptoms.

With a targeted, long-term nutrition strategy you can:

✔ Reduce inflammation in the body✔ Reduce water retention✔ Strengthen connective tissue✔ Targeted weight reduction✔ Promote wound healing after surgery✔ And last but not least: gain more energy, lightness and quality of life

Perhaps the following thoughts sound familiar to you:

  • “I’m eating less and less, but I’m feeling increasingly dissatisfied.”
  • “I dread every meal – for fear of gaining more weight.”
  • “I want to change my diet, but I don’t know what’s right for me.”
  • “There are so many recommendations – which one is actually right for me?”

If you identify with one or more of these points, you're not alone. Many people with lipedema feel unsure about their diet. The sheer volume of conflicting information can quickly become overwhelming—especially since standard diets often don't produce the desired results.

Your individual solution: Nutritional advice with a holistic view

In a personalized nutritional consultation—online or in Salzburg—we'll work together to develop a plan that's tailored to you and your daily routine. I'll combine current findings from nutritional medicine with your personal life and eating history.

It's important to me that all recommendations are practical, suitable for everyday life, and implementable in the long term. No rigid diet plans, no prohibitions, but rather a conscious approach to nutrition that strengthens you – physically and mentally.

Nutritional tips for everyday life with lipedema:

  • Make sure you drink enough – preferably low-energy drinks such as water, mineral water, unsweetened tea or lemon soda.
  • Maintain regular meals with set meal times and breaks in between during which only low-energy drinks are consumed.
  • Start by keeping a meal log to consciously reflect on your current eating and drinking habits and to more easily identify potential challenges.
